Subpar quality does not leave our warehouse.

Thoroughly checked, ready for production.

Your users are counting on you to keep IT infrastructure running smoothly.

That is why we have devised our own comprehensive, in-house checklist to test every piece of hardware before it leaves our facility.

In fact, our checklist is designed to test hardware to its limit. If we are not satisfied with any test result, the hardware does not get shipped out.

Read on to understand some of the key checks that our engineering team does. Broadly speaking, these checks can be classified into physical checks and console-based testing.

Anything that can be tested, will be.

Physical checks

Physical damage

  • Does the hardware have any physical damage e.g. dents, broken bezels that may affect daily use (inserting and/or removal of transceivers) and/or expansion (adding on 2nd power supply, stacking modules etc.)?

Adhering to manufacturer-default specifications

  • If a hardware is advertised in the manufacturer's datasheet as having 5x fans and 2x power supplies of a certain airflow direction, does the hardware comply with what the datasheet has specified?

Are all accessories complete?

  • Does the hardware come with the correct rackmounts and power cables for use right out of the box?

Console-based testing

Once physical checks are complete, our engineering team conducts deeper checks via console. Here's some of the key tests that we perform:

  • Is the operating system and factory-default software features present?

  • Are all ports "up" when configured and inserted with media such as network cables?

  • Are all PoE ports delivering advertised power?

  • Are fans and power supplies working within manufacturer-defined parameters?

  • Are transceivers operating within manufacturer-defined parameters e.g. temperature, transmit/receive power?

All results from console-based testing are captured as test logs, ready for inspection prior to ordering.

If you have specific checks or commands that you'd like us to perform, please inform your account manager.

Our checks ensure our hardware works like they have just left the factory.
